About the AAU Clinical Guidelines Monitor
The AAU Clinical Guidelines Monitor tracks how research from Aalborg University is cited in Clinical Guidelines worldwide. The tool collects and visualizes citations in clinical guidelines of academic publications using data from:
Data Sources & Limitations
- DOI Requirement: The tool only includes publications with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), as a unique identifier is needed to track Clinical citations.
- Clinical Guideline Sources: Mentions are only fetched from Clinical Guideline sources covered by Altmetric and PlumX. This means that the tool does not include all possible Clinical Guideline citations from sources outside these databases.
- Limited Detail: The tool currently only retrieves the number of Clinical Guideline citations. Viewing additional details about each mention requires a subscription to Altmetric or PlumX. Click the details icon to explore further.
- Not a Research Metric: This tool is not designed for ranking research by the number of Clinical Guideline citations. Instead, it aims to highlight how research can contribute to societal impact through Clinical engagement.
- Data is updated monthly, but there may be delays in external data sources.
